Frequently asked questions
Everything you need to know about booking EV service, pricing, technicians, warranty, and the B2B marketplace.
Booking
How do I book an EV repair on ev.care?+
Go to /service/request, pick your vehicle (2W/3W/4W brand + model), describe the issue, choose whether you want a technician at your location or at a workshop, and enter your contact details. The whole form takes about 60 seconds. Our executive team calls back within 2 hours to confirm.
Do I need an account to book?+
No. We accept anonymous repair requests — just give us your name and phone number. You can optionally sign in to track multiple requests from a dashboard, but it's never required.
How soon can a technician visit?+
In most cities, a certified technician can visit within 4–24 hours of your booking, depending on the complexity. Urgent same-day visits are available in 30+ metro cities. We confirm the exact ETA during the callback.
Pricing & invoicing
How does the site-visit fee work?+
A small site-visit fee (typically ₹500–₹600 depending on city) is charged upfront when the technician visits your location. If the repair completes during that visit, the fee is fully waived from your final invoice. You only pay the visit fee if you decline the repair quote or we can't proceed.
Is the pricing transparent?+
Yes. Every repair gets an itemized invoice with labour, parts, site-visit charge (or waiver), and 18% GST. The technician shows you the quote before any work begins, and nothing gets charged without your explicit approval.
What payment methods do you accept?+
UPI, credit and debit cards, net banking, and Razorpay wallet — all through a secure payment link sent to your phone after the invoice is raised. We don't accept cash or offline payments for repairs.
Coverage & brands
Which EV brands do you service?+
Every major Indian EV brand across 2W/3W/4W segments — Ather, Ola, TVS, Bajaj, Hero Vida, Revolt, Okinawa, Ampere, Mahindra (Treo, eVerito, XUV400), Tata (Nexon EV, Tigor EV, Punch EV), MG (ZS EV, Comet), BYD (e6), Hyundai (Kona, Ioniq), Piaggio (Ape E-City), Kinetic, Atul, and most imported EVs.
Which cities do you operate in?+
Delhi (expanding to 30+ cities by 2027) across India. The full list is at /service/cities. If your city isn't listed, book anyway — our executive team will confirm coverage within 2 hours. We're adding 5–10 new cities every month.
Can you fix fleet EVs for logistics companies?+
Yes — fleet operators are one of our largest customer segments. We offer dedicated fleet SLAs, priority dispatch, volume pricing, and a dedicated account manager. Contact us at hello@ev.care with your fleet size.
Technicians & quality
Are your technicians certified?+
Every technician on ev.care is DIYguru-certified. DIYguru is India's leading EV training provider with 30,000+ alumni. Our technicians pass certification in BMS, motor control, or charger repair, and are background-verified before we dispatch them.
What if the repair doesn't hold?+
All our repairs come with a 30-day workmanship warranty. If the same issue recurs within 30 days, we return and fix it at no additional charge — no site-visit fee, no labour charge, no arguments.
What if parts aren't available immediately?+
If a replacement part is out of stock, we give you a clear ETA (typically 3–7 days), and the technician returns to install it at no additional site-visit charge once the part arrives. You only pay for parts + labour, never a second visit fee.
Marketplace (B2B)
What is the ev.care marketplace?+
It's our parallel B2B product at /marketplace — a procurement platform for OEMs, fleet operators, and design engineers to source EV components (battery packs, BMS, motor controllers, chargers) and whole vehicles directly from verified suppliers. Every listing includes deep engineering specs and a spec-match guarantee backed by escrow.
Can I become a supplier on the marketplace?+
Yes. Go to /onboarding to create a supplier profile. You'll need a GSTIN for Verified tier. Silver and Gold tiers require a factory walkthrough video and DIYguru-certified staff, respectively.
