Is this EV course recognised for jobs in Jharkhand and across India?
Yes. The DIYguru EV technician programme is aligned to ASDC (Automotive Skills Development Council) and NSDC frameworks, which are recognised by Indian OEMs, dealerships, and fleet operators. The certification works for jobs in Ranchi as well as Jamshedpur, Dhanbad, Kolkata, and across India, including roles with 2W, 3W, and 4W EV companies.
What is the placement support after completing the course?
Learners get dedicated placement support including resume building, mock interviews, and direct referrals to EV OEMs, service workshops, charging operators, and fleet companies hiring in Jharkhand and nearby states. Our network includes 2W and 3W brands, battery firms, and CPO partners. Active learners typically receive 2 to 4 interview opportunities within 60 days of completion.
Do I need an engineering background to join the EV technician course?
No engineering degree is required. The course is designed for ITI graduates, diploma holders, 12th pass students, and working auto mechanics who want to shift to EVs. We start with the basics of electrical safety and DC circuits, then move to batteries, motors, and controllers, so anyone with a school-level science background can follow along comfortably.
Can I do this EV course part-time along with my current job or studies?
Yes. We offer weekend batches and evening slots specifically for working technicians and college students in Ranchi. The hybrid format combines online theory with weekend hands-on lab sessions, so learners from Hatia, Doranda, or Kanke can attend without leaving their current job. Most students complete the programme in 3 to 6 months part-time.
What does the course cover for EV batteries and BMS repair?
The battery module covers Li-ion cell chemistry, pack assembly, BMS diagnostics, thermal management, and safe handling of high-voltage packs. You will practice cell balancing, SoC and SoH testing, fault code reading, and pack-level repair on real 2W and 3W batteries. We also cover IS 17017 charging standards and AIS 156 safety norms relevant to Indian EVs.
Is there an EV training centre near Doranda or Tatisilwai in Ranchi?
Yes. Our Ranchi training partner is easily reachable from Doranda, Hatia, Harmu, Lalpur, and Kanke via city bus and auto routes. The Tatisilwai industrial belt is also within commuting distance for learners working at component suppliers. We help outstation students from Hazaribagh, Ramgarh, and Khunti with hostel and PG referrals near the centre.
